March New Releases

March 2011 New Books

Unplanned: The Dramatic True Story of a Former Planned Parenthood Leader's Eye-Opening Journey Across the Life LineUnplanned is a heart stopping personal drama of life-&-death encounters, a courtroom battle, & spiritual transformation that speaks hope & compassion into the political controversy that surrounds this issue.

Manalive
This classic novel by the brilliant G. K. Chesterton tells the rollicking tale of Innocent Smith, a man who may be crazy-or possibly the most sane man of all. In this delightfully strange mystery, Chesterton demonstrates why life is worth living, & that sometimes we need a little madness just to know we are alive.

Holiness is Always in SeasonThis inspiring volume presents the Pope's numerous reflections on many saints arranged according to the calendar year. He shows how the life of each saint has something unique to teach us about virtue, faith, courage & love of Christ

Fire of Love: A Historical Novel About St. John of the Cross
In this historical novel, love is at the very center of the drama, for Saint John of the Cross became one of the Church's foremost experts on intimacy with God. His mystical poems on divine love are considered some of the greatest verses ever written.

Into Your Hands, Father: Abandoning Ourselves to the God Who Loves Us
In this simple but profound book, Father Stinissen distinguishes 3 degrees or stages in abandonment.

Romeo & JulietThe Ignatius Critical Editions represent a tradition-oriented alternative to popular textbook series, & are designed to concentrate on traditional readings of the Classics of world literature.

What We Can’t Not Know
In this new revised edition of his groundbreaking work, Professor J. Budziszewski questions the modern assumption that moral truths are unknowable. With clear & logical arguments he rehabilitates the natural law tradition & restores confidence in a moral code based upon human nature.

The World of St. PaulJoseph Callewaert's engaging work on St. Paul reads like a novel. With inviting, even dramatic, prose, it recounts the story of the great Apostle to the Nations. This is no dry tome or ponderous biography. Nor is its subject a "safe" historical figure, irrelevant to the issues of today: St. Paul remains controversial.

Writing to God

Designed for use during any 40-day period, Writing to God relieves readers of the self-consciousness of trying to pray “the right way,” inviting them to pray wherever the pen leads!

Treatise on the Love of God
Francis de Sales's literary masterpiece was originally published in 1616 while he was Bishop of Geneva. This modern edition of the treatise preserves de Sales's gentle prose, his enthusiasm for God, compassion, & good humor.
